Summa Peach

Guys, it's almost that time again.. book bags, binders, school lunch and early mornings. It may not be exciting for you this time around but for me, I'm bursting with joy because well.... I START COLLEGE NEXT WEEK!!!! *break dances* I move in this weekend and I am surely looking forward to campus life outside of my hometown. But before I leave you all for a little bit, I decided to share some pictures of my stay in Atlanta for summer vacation this year. (: I hope you enjoy (sorry for the horrible quality!!).

The Beauty of BELLY

I spent the last week hanging with Lex Guess (remember her? lol), packing for college, cleaning after I packed for college, and spending countless hours on the phone with my college and constantly checking my email accounts.... for college. i FINALLY got to take a small break this weekend and catch up on my movies from the 90s that my parents never let me fully watch. (I always got to watch the beginning then they'd send me to bed *sigh*)
But anyways, I watched the Hype Williams directed movie BELLY for the first time and I ABSOLUTELY LOVEDDDDDDD IT. Everything about the scenery was beautiful. The different hues and shades of brown, blue and grey were just genius and it most definitely fit the dark theme of the film. Hype Williams is one of my favorite directors but I was a little hesitant about him making a full length movie instead of a 4 minute video. However he didn't disappoint with this hour and a half long tale of drug dealing gone bad and redemption.
Here are some of my favorite, beautiful movie scenes below.

REMEMBER HIM FROM MENACE II SOCIETY? LOL

Throw it Back Sunday

While I was going through my room, cleaning everything out and packing for my departure to college in a few days, I came across some old songs I used to DIE FOR! (Not literally of course) And most of them just happened to be by fellow Libra, R and B singer Ashanti. After listening to her tunes and numerous hits I took a break and went to YouTube to view her older videos. I was pleasantly reminded that in her video for Rain On Me, she had (the VERY sexy and talented) Larenz Tate play her jealous, abusive boyfriend. I still think that Ashanti could've been a huge star but you know, some things happen the way they're supposed to...
