So my favorite Taurus male, Chance The Rapper, just released some new music titled "I Am Very Very Lonely". It is definitely different from what you would expect, however, I truly enjoy it lol. It's smooth and it makes me want to lay back, close my eyes and sing off key... kinda how he is doing in the 3 minute track. Take a listen below!

Speak Yeezy

I'm sure by now all of my readers know that I love me some Kanye West! (Sorry for the incorrect grammar lol) (Almost) Anything he does career wise is genius to me so when I heard that he may be releasing a spoken word album, my eyes stretched from here to Maine! If you're one of the true Yeezy fans then you've heard and watched his Def Jam Poetry videos from back in the day and you know what he is truly capable of lyric wise. I'm reading on various websites that the Spoken Word album will be between 3 to 24 hours long; for some that may be too long but for me, it's not long enough ha ha. Hopefully the rumors are true and I can have another dose of (my husband) Kanye! Check out a throwback of his poetry below...

New Music

So today I received a mention on Twitter about some new music (I love hearing different types of music guys!) and I was pleasantly surprised by what I heard! The artist I've been tuning in to for the past 15 minutes is Jemyle Jones and I have to say: I LOVE his music. His voice is reminiscent of CyHi Da Prynce with social conscious rhymes that address the struggle and everyday life like J.Cole and vintage Kendrick Lamar. I am definitely endorsing his music, check out his SoundCloud here, I'm sure you'll be impressed!

I never realized how much I loved the song Hot Like Fire by the late and great Aaliyah until Spring time started and I downloaded the Timbaland mix lol. It's so smooth and catchy, the music video is so.... red haha. Rest In Peace Aaliyah! Check out the video below.

Man Oh Man

Okay so I don't normally do this, in fact... I don't think I have ever done this but I have to make sure that someone (particularly the ladies) sees these beautiful pictures of the rapper J.Cole playing basketball for Team Miami. My goodness this man is so gawjuss (or ***FLAWLESS for my Beyonce fans) Just look at that height, and those arms and those tiny eyes!

Lets Take a Look...

If you haven't been able to tell by now, I am always researching, reading, and watching new things on television and the Internet. Last night, while watching a Richard Dawkins interview, I came across a clip of the very popular show Real Time with Bill Maher (a show I have wanted to watch since I was about 15 years old, but I never understood the topics discussed...) The clip above is one that I have always felt strongly about, colleges ridiculous tuition, student loans and young people being in debt right after graduating college! I always questioned whether or not college was worth the hundreds of thousands of dollars and watching experts talk about the same concerns I have really made me think more. Take a look at this clip for yourself!

I haven't done this in a long time, however, I couldn't resist the urge to post about YG's album My Krazy Life! I downloaded it about a week after it debuted and I have been listening to it ever since. YG uses gangster rhymes and slang that coexists beautifully with the infectious West Coast beats that makes the listeners feel as though they're either from California or like they just hopped out of Boyz In Da Hood or Juice lol. I wasn't expecting to be as entertained by the album as I am now and I must admit, I listen to it way more than his California counterpart ScHoolboy Q's debut album Oxymoron. To me, My Krazy Life was released just in time for warm weathered parties and kickbacks all over the world. If you haven't heard anything other than radio tunes from YG, I honestly suggest you listen to songs Bicken Back Bein' Bool and (the explicit) Do It To Ya.Overall, I give YG a 8.5/10 for this, what do you guys think?!

Relaxation.

I know I'm late posting this BUT................... better late than never right? Lol. Our school had the traditional Senior Ditch Day about 2 weeks ago and some friends and I took our senioritis to South Carolina's famous Folly Beach in Charleston! It was absolutely beautiful, (and of course hot) we left our small town of Orangeburg at 9:40 am and started our Charleston adventure. It felt soooooo great to have a day off from school before Spring Break, we deserved it *Future voice* (No? Okay) Of course I took (crappy) pictures for you guys to see. Briana has wayyyyyy better pictures on her fabulous blog (that never goes un-kept by the owner *crowd boos me*)

If you follow me on my new Twitter account, you've definitely read a lot of my thoughts when it comes to women and men and the dating situations many of us face in today's society. I am always one for speaking up and voicing my opinions on certain things and helping people out if they may need it. GIRL TIME GRRR!

Sorry I've been away from the blog for so long once again, there has been so much going on and soooo little time to post! As my final year of high school winds down, more activities have become available to the school and my senior class. Recently, OW High School just had their first powder puff football game in about 3 years and it was WONDERFUL. (If you aren't familiar with powder puff football, its just girls playing without the tackling and helmets) The game consisted of seniors and freshman battling sophomores and juniors for bragging rights. There was 2 weeks of practicing and a lot of hard work and at the end of the beautiful evening *drum roll* THE SENIORS AND FRESHMAN WON!!! I took plenty of snapshots of the game on April 10, 2014, check them out below!
